Dr Harvey provides care and advice for patients with acute and chronic gastroenterology disorders. She is a highly experienced passionate consultant in her field, established for more than 10 years. She is approachable, easy to talk to and undertakes a detailed assessment for all patients. She has a holistic approach to care.
She frequently is referred patients for a second opinion by colleagues. Patient feedback is consistently good and her endoscopy outcomes are in keeping with those set by the national advisory group on gastrointestinal endoscopy (JAG).
Dr Harvey’s specialist interests include patients presenting with heartburn, iron deficiency anaemia, dyspepsia, reflux, diarrhoea, constipation, difficulty evacuating the bowel, change in bowel habit, weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, hiatus hernia, nutritional deficiencies and gut symptoms related to joint hypermobility syndromes.
Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, radiological investigations including x-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning are performed locally when necessary.
